The phases of cope with loss and grief (Anticipatory grief)

There is a lot of symptoms that is characterized for a grieving person: 

  • Discomfort, 
  • anxiety, 
  • stress, 
  • torment, 
  • pain, 
  • a broken heart, etc. 

When someone dies people around, in the society, understand or take for granted that the relatives have a period of grief ahead. That is good, but it is also important to understand that a person can be affected by grief before someone dies. In fact terms this is called anticipatory grief. The grief is connected to the loss of someone’s personality or the knowledge that the person you have in your life will soon die.
